Sunday, February 19, 2023

Build 409 is released.

 1. New codec for REAL volumes as FVX entity. Substantial improvement over the previous codec.

2. When FVX document saved, the REAL volume entity is always saved compressed independently of the UserOptions settings for compression state. This is to simplify the optimal saving of the files and minimizing storage\transfer times.

Build 408 is released

 1. Lung Segmentation : added the "Minimal Slice Thickness" parameter to the dialog and processing. This helps to remove elongated protrusions.

2. Bical NUC:  enabled processing on single slice volumes when other than {VA_BICALSEG_GRAD} style is selected.

3. FVX document load : fixed the defect when "Load Dynamic Model" option = FALSE. This also fixed the defect when BM2 module was not able to update the batch models.

4. Added [MinVal,MaxVal] to the list of "First Order Radiomics features".

5. When outputting the Radiomics measurements : if only the First Order features are specified we don't out the GLMsys and Distance settings.

6. Loading various curves throughout the FireVoxel (several function) : removed the fixed limit {10K} on the number of allowed timepoints.

7. Optimized the LoadTacFile function to accommodate very large number of timepoints. Added the progress bar.

8. Provided menu item "Curve basic measurements".

9. Adjusted Incoherence function to deal with very large number of timepoints  25K+.

10. Added the "Double-normalized Incoherece" and the "Incoherence Period" to the Curve measurements.

11. Enabled loading of the SIEMENS DWI datasets where the b-value is encoded in the SequenceName (0x0018:0024)

Sunday, February 12, 2023

Build 407 is released.

 1. Update menu for the Single Slice Lung MR segmentation workflow.

2. Lung Single slice "Segment Current Timepoint" function was added with tuned parameters.

3. Lung curve measurement : introduced the Normalized Incoherence measure so it potentially could be better compared to Incoherence of the pilot tone curve (which comes in normalized).

4. Lung 4D Segmentation dialog : added the option "Correct Fringes".

5. ABT subtest for :  "Lung MR Segmentation on Current Timepoint"

6. Produced a mini manual for the Lung workflow changes

https://youtu.be/5tfV8z-Sa5g

Friday, February 10, 2023

 1. Lung segmentation : added a variant when only selected timepoint of 4D lung dataset is selected to generate a 3D ROI for that timepoint.

2. Lung segmentation dialog : change the "Smooth Image" parameter into (mm)

Wednesday, February 8, 2023

Build 406 is released.

 1. Implemented new Workflow:  "Parametric Map Batch Feature Processing". FireVoxel opening the folder containing FVX files. Then common parametric maps are identified. Radiomics feature measurements are performed on all files in the folder and result is placed into TXT file formatted for Excel import.

2. DICOM file loading of b-values:  Included the code check for using the DICOM-recommended tag before proceeding to the Manuf\Model-specific private tags. (Resolved the issue with the Philips\Activa images).

3. Loading an odd Diffusion DICOM set is facilitated by introducing a new option (checkbox) "Combine STUDIES" in DICOM load Dialog Box.

Friday, January 27, 2023

Build 405 is releazed.

 1.  When the DICOM image fails to load it now displays the TransferSyntax name (f.e. JPEG-LS) in diagnostics message.

2. Correction within CVol::Spc() function : calculating times were too long. Reverted to older version with m_Spc.IsValid() test. (This was resulting in Rasterize Selection function appear suspended).

3.

Implemented initial version of the FlexMorph function (based on Flexr3D). Allows to produce morphing between 2 highly non-convex slices.

4. Fixed:  DICOM load of a single file when both {SliceThickness,SpacingBetweenSlices} is missing.

Thursday, January 19, 2023

Build 404C is released.

1.When exporting a double-real image to {ANALYZE,MIDAS,NII} we offer NAN as the default value for VOIDVOX. So the other packages can read it appropriately.

2. When loading {ANALYZE,MIDAS,NII}  and NAN voxel is present, it is converted appropriately to firevoxel internal VOIDVOX value.

3. Fixed the "Linear Conversion over ROI"  UI function

Monday, January 16, 2023

 Build 404B is released.

1. Workflows>Lung MR >Display Lung Curves : enabled the layers be named with prefix {Lft,Left,Rgt,Right} non-case sensitive.

2. Fixed the crash when 1. Workflows>Lung MR >Display Lung Curves  is called without the 4D ROI layers present.

Sunday, January 15, 2023

Build 404A is released.

 1. Updated the FLEXR MC UI and function to include the "Actual Target dynamic index" option. This is required when the Target ROI is drawn on one timepoint but it is beneficial for the feature matching to use a different timepoint as a Target.   This is the case in BPE breast study.

2. Updated the lung curve report function output.

Wednesday, January 11, 2023

Build 404 is released.

 1. FLEXR Motion correction: implemented a new UI processing option when the final reslicing timepoint is different from the Target timepoint.

2. TransformFieldNW : performed corrections when the Source mask is present.

3. Load FVX file (all versions) : Fixed defect when UserOpt.LoadDynExp=false the loading of the DynExp from file was improperly skipped.

4. New streamlined function for the ROI segmentation split based on histogram (using standard RoiStats3D dialog box)

Tuesday, January 10, 2023

Build 403A is released.

 1. Phillips "Prodiva CX" scanner model was added when extracting b-values.

Thursday, January 5, 2023

FireVoxel Build 403 is released.

1.Corrections regarding the DICOM load with TE values and their conversion between ms-displayed and sec-internal.

2. Internal:  splitting the VA_FLEXR structure in to FLEXR3D and FLEXRMC

3. UI:  Splitting the general FLEXR dialog into  FLEXR3D and FLEXRMC

4. Added the ABT subtest:  FLEXR3D for CT Lung (from EMPIRE 2010 competition).

5. UI: Added the function to generate FireVoxel license key

Wednesday, January 4, 2023

Build 402 is released.

 1. Corrected defect when "Remove duplicate SOP Instance UID" message pops up even when no duplicates are present.

2. Provided a more explanatory message in the event of duplicates present

3. Corrected the progress bar when loading large Folders of DICOM files.

4.  Implemented UI functionality to change the TE value of a group of DICOM files from the OpenDICOM dialog box.

5. Corrected UI bug in a string display when specifying the values in Volume>Set DICOM Tags.
6. Fixed the crash defect when setting the TE dicom tag in the Ti=1 volume.

New DICOM check and message in the recent Builds:

Each DICOM file is supposed to have an unique SOP Instance UID as explained here:

SOP Instance UID - OTpedia, Information for Medical Imaging (otechimg.com)

However, this is sometimes not a case.

Prior to Build 399 this check was always made and the duplicate SOP Instance UID files were excluded from loading.

Then in Build 399 a new check was added and if the files with the identical SOP Instance UID are detected the dialog box comes up that offers to remove the duplicate files from loading (but does not delete them physically).

Friday, December 23, 2022

Build 401 is released.
